Taos, NM

Well, I arrived almost a month ago to Taos, but I'm definitely a city boy and what's a city boy to do? Still, I have fallen in love with the beautiful landscape of the high desert and the mountains of Taos.

DSC03318 As you're leaving town you can see this beautiful scenery from the road. The mountains are gorgeous and the valley is majestic. It takes about two hours to get here from Albuquerque, but trust me, you won't regret it. The views as you leave Albuquerque are breathtaking.

DSC03324 On the valley you can see the canyon and the Rio Grande river, which had been dry for a couple of years but with the end of the drought there's plenty of water. If you come during the summer season you can enjoy rafting, but there are plenty of extreme sports to practice. During the winter season all ski resorts open their doors in the Taos Ski Valley, considered one of the most difficult ones in the country, so I heard.

DSC03332 The weather is beautiful, I have to say, even though it drops fast at night, but not too bad. In the back you can see the Rio Grande river as it flows south. This is a stop on the way to Española, right after the horseshoe. Just some trivia, a couple of years ago a boulder fell from the Mountain on the left killing Japanese tourist that were visiting the region.

I'll have more next time!

I'm still here!

The last time I posted something I was still in Australia, but well, now I'm not, I'm in the US now, but it doesn't mean that I'm not posting anything, I'm still here and happy to blog again. Someone asked if someone has ever visited my blog, which honestly I don't know and honestly, I don't care. I'm just happy to be able to share all what I want.

My Madonna website (http://us.geocities.com/madonnarevolution/start.html) is still online after 10 years and around five without modifications! Well, it sucks big time and I don't care what they post on the guestbook. But I'm definitely moving it to another web host, considering that I've lost my password and can't seem to find anywhere else!

About my trip, well, now I'm in Taos, NM! Kinda cold, but it's nice after all, with its ups and downs. Some pics might enlighten you on the beautiful landscape.

DSC03254 It's beautiful here and I absolutely love it! Well, the landscape made me fall in love of this place. Eventually I will have more pictures to post, but for now this is just a taste of the place!
